Begum Qudsia Aizaz Rasul (2 April 1909 – 1 August 2001) was a staunch freedom fighter, social reformer and parliamentarian. She was the first and only Muslim woman in the Constituent Assembly of India that drafted the Constitution of India.

  Begum Qudsia was also a member in the Rajyasabha and U.P. State Legislative Council. She served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Council and Cabinet Minister for Social Welfare and Minorities.

  She is well known for her progressive outlook and anti-feudal practices. She was a strong opponent of zamindari system, reservation for minorities in legislative assemblies and the partition of India.

  Qudsia was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan in 2000 by the Government of India in recognition of her enormous contributions to social work.
