Solitude is not avoiding the company of others or staying away or going to the Himalayas. It is withdrawal from the surroundings and be one with .one’s own self. It is about the mind, the thoughts, feelings. We may practise solitude in the midst of noise or inside a crowd. We have to find sometime daily to be away from the tumult of the world and its incessant activities, its noise, the polluted atmosphere of strife, hatred and greed.
